🌿 Velvety foliage speckled with silver • 🌤️ Partial shade to indirect light • 💧 Moderate watering • ✨ Ultra easy care • 📏 H25 cm | Pot Ø12 cm

The Scindapsus Pictus Trebie, also called Silver Pothos, is a climbing or trailing plant with heart-shaped dark velvety green leaves generously splashed with sparkling silver spots. Its matte foliage with metallic reflections creates a unique luminous effect — perfect for decorating a shelf or hanging in low-light spaces.

Native to the tropical forests of Southeast Asia, it naturally grows as a vine on tree trunks — this climbing behavior repeats indoors on a stake, where its leaves gradually become larger as it climbs. Left free, it develops a cascading habit that is equally decorative, making it one of the few plants suitable for both stake arrangements and hanging shelves.

Which Scindapsus variety to choose?

The Scindapsus genus comes in several varieties with distinct silver variegations. Here is how the Trebie ranks:

  • Scindapsus Pictus Trebie (this plant) — generous silver spots on dark velvety green background, H25 cm. The brightest and most generous in silver.
  • Scindapsus Pictus Argyraeus — smaller and more regular silver spots, elegant velvety foliage. The most classic and understated.
  • Epipremnum Golden Pothos — green and golden yellow foliage, very climbing habit, fast growth. The brightest in golden version.
  • Epipremnum Marble Queen — white and green marbled foliage, very graphic. The most contrasted in light variegation.
  • Epipremnum Pinnatum Cebu Blue — shiny blue-silver foliage, slender habit. The most graphic in bluish tones.

The Trebie is the variety with the most generous silver spots in the family — its matte velvety foliage with metallic reflections is unmatched for brightening dark spaces.

Exposure & location

The Scindapsus Pictus Trebie enjoys indirect light but adapts very well to Partial shade — however, its silver spots tend to fade if the brightness is too low.

  • Ideal exposure: soft indirect light to partial shade — north-facing window, desk, shelf away from windows.
  • Tolerates: low light, ambient humidity.
  • Avoid: direct sun that burns and fades the velvety foliage.
  • Temperature: 18–27 °C, no drafts or sudden changes.
  • Substrate: light, airy, and draining — universal potting soil with perlite.

Each plant is unique: the intensity of the silver spots naturally varies depending on the light received and the season.

Watering & care

The Scindapsus Pictus Trebie prefers a slightly moist substrate without ever being waterlogged — yellowing leaves are almost always due to overwatering. Trust the finger test method: water only when the top 2 to 3 centimeters of substrate are dry.

  • Watering: moderate — let the top 2–3 cm dry out between waterings.
  • Frequency: about once a week in spring-summer; reduce in winter.
  • Water: water at room temperature.
  • Humidity: mist occasionally or group with other plants.
  • Drainage: essential — pot must have drainage holes, empty saucer after watering.
  • Fertilizer: liquid fertilizer for green plants, once a month in spring-summer.

Each plant is unique: watering frequency naturally varies depending on pot size, ambient temperature, and season.

Decor ideas & plant pairings

The velvety silver foliage of the Scindapsus Pictus Trebie brings a soft metallic light that few trailing plants can offer — particularly valuable in low-light spaces. To create a plant atmosphere around it, find our ideas to create a calming plant corner at home.

  • Hanging above a desk: its velvety, silver trailing vines are especially decorative when seen from below — place it in a natural Selin basket whose fiber harmonizes with the soft tones of the foliage.
  • On a bookshelf shelf: pair it with the Scindapsus Argyraeus for a duo in the same family — the fine spots of the Argyraeus and the large splashes of the Trebie create two complementary silver patterns.
  • On a stake in a jungle composition: pair it with a climbing Philodendron — the silver-spotted velvet of the Scindapsus contrasts with the smooth deep green foliage of the Philodendron for a very effective texture duo.
  • Decorative pot and color scheme: the dark velvety green and silver spots stand out especially well against a Brussels anthracite decorative pot — the dark background amplifies the metallic shine of the silver spots.

Verdeia tips

  • Absolutely avoid direct sunlight: unlike many plants, Scindapsus Pictus does not like direct rays that burn the velvety leaves and fade the silver spots — soft indirect light is more than enough to keep it healthy.
  • Gently dust the velvety foliage: the velvety texture collects dust that dulls the silver highlights — use a soft brush or air spray rather than a damp cloth to avoid crushing the velvety hairs.
  • Prune overly long vines in spring: cutting stems above a node encourages branching and gives the plant a denser, bushier habit — cuttings root easily in a glass of water, a technique applicable to all decorative trailing plants.

The answer to calloused feet.
Color: Pink & Beige, Size: Medium/Large(fits size 8 to 11)
If you have dry callused soles, these are your answer. All my calluses left and my feet were very soft. They should not be walked in unless you are very, very careful as you will slip and fall. I stopped using them for a while and all my problem calluses are back, even when I use lotion at night. They tell you not to sleep in them, I don't know why. I do put these on at night and end up taking them off later as they're not comfortable to sleep in.

Slippery when wet!!!
Color: Pink & Beige, Size: Medium/Large(fits size 8 to 11)
“These moisturizing slippers are actually really comfortable and feel great on the feet. They’re soft, cozy, and do help moisturize while you wear them. I also think they’re a good value for the money. The only downside is that once your feet get moisturized, they can get slippery inside the slippers, so I wouldn’t recommend walking around too much in them. Better for relaxing and letting your feet soak up the moisture than for being up and moving around.”

Color: Pink & Beige, Size: Medium/Large(fits size 8 to 11)
I wear a size 11.5 in ladies shoe and these just barely fit. Butttt after I put lotion on my feet and slipped these on and left them on for about 30 mins. It left my feet really soft! They work great as intended. Would buy again

Effective but may be uncomfortable
Color: Pink & Beige, Size: Medium/Large(fits size 8 to 11)
I have eczema on my feet and use a prescription cream that I leave on overnight. I often have a problem sleeping in socks but the silicone feels cool on my feet. The only drawback I have is the opening of the socks feel very tight around my ankles making them uncomfortable on me. I wish the opening was a bit more flexible.
